Main St. Yarns is a haven for knitters nestled in Carriage Square in Downtown Milton. The quaint Town of Milton, surrounded by breathtaking Escarpment Country, offers fine dining, spectacular outdoor recreation opportunities and a unique shopping experience.
Make your visit to Main St.Yarns part of your "road trip" with your friends! Browse the wide selection of designer yarns and magazines for your next project, have lunch and visit the unique Downtown shops (clothing, china, educational toys, gift shops). A day well spent!
We are easy to find too! Just 20-30 minutes on the highway from Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge or Etobicoke, and Mississauga. From Hwy 401, take Regional Rd 25 South to Steeles Ave. Continue straight through the lights on Martin Street a few blocks until you reach Main Street. Carriage Square is located on the North East corner of this intersection. You can visit us Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10AM to 5PM, Thursdays from 10AM to 8PM, Fridays from 10AM to 5PM and Saturdays from 10AM to 3PM. Or call 905-693-4299 to make a special appointment outside those hours.
On your arrival, you will find that we carry a large selection of Europe's finest yarns including Rowan natural fiber yarns and magazines. We also carry Debbie Bliss, Noro, Sirdar, On Line and Cascade yarns, patterns and magazines. We also carry Canadian yarns such as Briggs & Little. You will be able to find all your knitting needs right here, in one place, from needles to buttons.
While you are here, you will be able to sign up for "Learn to Knit" or other featured classes or workshops. You can bring along your projects for advice on skills, finishing or color choices. Every Thursday evening, you could take advantage of our "Yak & Yarn" sessions - a great opportunity to get projects finished or to get help when you are stuck.
